Dr Mark Bennett is a highly-experienced geologist and mining executive with over 30 years’ experience in gold and base metal exploration. He was the founding Managing Director and CEO of Sirius Resources Ltd, where he was awarded the Association of Mining and Exploration Companies (AMEC) “Prospector of the Year Award” for the world-class Nova-Bollinger nickel-copper discovery in 2013. He went on to lead the company until its —$1.8 billion merger with IGO Ltd (ASX: IGO).
Mark is a two-times winner of the AMEC award, having previously been recognised for the Thunderbox gold and Waterloo nickel discoveries in 2002 during his time as a key member of the senior leadership team of LionOre Mining International. In addition to his technical exploration expertise, Mark is experienced in corporate affairs, equity capital markets, investor relations and community engagement and led Sirius from pre-discovery to the construction stage, until the completion of its merger with IGO.
Mark is currently the Executive Chairman of S2 Resources Ltd (ASX: S2R) and Non-Executive Director of Todd River Resources Ltd (ASX: TRT).
Mr Tim Markwell is a geologist, fund manager and mining executive with over 25 years’ experience in gold and base metal exploration. Tim has been the Investment Manager of the African Lion funds at Lion Selection Group for over 14 years. Lion Selection is a highly-regarded and successful ASX-listed investment company focused on junior mining companies.
During his time at Lion Selection, Tim also had various board roles including as Non-Executive Director and acting CEO of Celamin Holdings Ltd (ASX: CNL), and Non-Executive Director of both Predictive Discovery Ltd (ASX: PDI) and Anax Metals Ltd (ASX: ANX). Prior to Lion Selection, Tim worked in senior technical roles at BHP Ltd (ASX: BHP) and Golder Associates, as well a resource analyst role at broker DJ Carmichael.
Tim brings diverse and broad experience in executive leadership, exploration, investor relations and capital markets to the role.
Alex Dorsch is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Chalice Mining. Alex has lead Chalice through an exceptional and transformational growth period following the Gonneville discovery. Alex was recognised as the ‘Emerging Leader of the Year’ by MiningNews and ‘CEO of the Year’ by Kitco in 2020. He also received the Young Mining Professionals ‘Peter Munk Award’ in 2022. Alex has diverse experience in leadership in roles across the resources sector, as a management consultant, engineer, project manager and corporate advisor. Prior roles included a Specialist Consultant with McKinsey & Company. He commenced his engineering career with resources giant BHP, and then spent over six years as an engineer in oil and gas exploration.
Ms Katina Law has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry and has held senior roles with major mining companies, as well as board roles with both ASX-listed explorers and non-government organisations.
With a strong financial background, she has served as Chair of Finance and Audit committees and has a strong commitment to corporate governance.
Ms Law is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. She is also a Certified Practising Accountant and has an MBA from London Business School.
Ms Law currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Yandal Resources (ASX: YRL), is a Board Member of Health Support Services, a co-founder and Director of IPS Management Consultants and as Chair of Dutjahn Sandalwood Oils Pty Ltd. Previously, she has held positions as Non-Executive Chair of Ardea Resources (ASX: ARL) and Non-Executive Director of DGO Gold (ASX: DGO)
Pradeep Subramaniam is a Chartered Accountant and senior finance executive with 20 years of experience across listed companies, professional services and the resources sector. He brings a strong commercial and strategic mindset, with deep expertise in financial reporting, governance, funding and stakeholder engagement.
Pradeep has held multiple Chief Financial Officer roles within junior resource companies, where he has led complex initiatives including ASX delistings, capital raisings, corporate restructures and confidential transactions. His work has contributed to significant value creation, improved balance sheet strength and enhanced governance frameworks.
Previously, Pradeep was a Manager and Senior Manager at PwC Australia, advising large and mid-tier clients across mining, infrastructure and energy, and managing multi-million-dollar client portfolios.
Pradeep holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Doug Winzar is an experienced geologist with over 25 years’ experience in mineral exploration across gold, base metals and diamond projects throughout Australia, Canada and Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geology) from La Trobe University and has worked with leading global resource companies including IGO Limited, BHP Billiton and De Beers.
Throughout his career, Doug has designed and executed numerous successful exploration and drilling programs with highlights including the discovery of multiple gold and base metal prospects in the Northern Territory and the discovery of a new kimberlite province in Canada.
Doug is known as a hands-on, field-focused leader with deep experience operating in remote environments and building collaborative, high-performing exploration teams.
Mr Kyle Hodges is an entrepreneurial geologist with over 13 years of international experience in mineral exploration, project generation, resource delineation, underground mining, and business development.
Kyle holds a Master of Economic Geology from the University of Tasmania (CODES), a Bachelor of Applied Geology (Honours), and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from Curtin University. His experience spans greenfields and brownfields exploration, near-mine and regional targeting, and corporate-level technical due diligence.
Kyle was Senior Generative Geologist for IGO in Canada, where he evaluated exploration, development, and mining opportunities across North America. Previously, as Senior Project Geologist, he played a key role in the discovery of the high-grade Ni-Cu-Co sulphide mineralisation at the Dogleg Prospect.
Kyle will be responsible for project generation and business development as well as having responsibility over the Errabiddy Gold Project.
